UNDERSTANDING THE MEDIA -1

Today class started with a debate on out sourcing. This debate is same as last one,my team was against the out sourcing.In the tam we start to talk about the subject and point some information that already the team individuals knows.Then we write this information on sheet the divided it into each of us, I got the quality of the project that doing it by outsourcing and the security problems.Then I research on internet about outsourcing, first i try to understand what is out sourcing mean then I start to take some information from my research writing it on my book.I try make some important points on my subject.in the debate time other group was supporting out sourcing make some good comments more than us so they won the debate but I think we also performed well. After the lunch time we started to do design penguin pool in maya. I already made a top view of my penguin pool in illustrator. I made some reference image in my note book.
                               The idea comes from guitar design,the front part of the guitar as the pond /pool design for the penguins. I made a illustrator version of the front side,a front view.Then I will make the pool from the top view

 Designing this pool also made this is the one of the best work from this module that I can show of. In this module we have to make a power point presentation on the best work till date so I choose to do with my penguin pool I  showing the presentation here. From researching into the task i did understand the subject need more depth research and I have to do more tutorials on the character design.In future designing project I will make more research. also better understanding on the subject.

UNDERSTANDING THE MEDIA

To day I started with my 747 aircraft design from last week.Neil also told us to make a CD with all the work that i have done through the course. I try to finish of my 3d room design but the file from my home is not showing inside maya, I think because of the version of maya. My maya 2012 and college got 2011. I checked on inter net how I can open my file with this problem. Then I find out that if I save as .fbx file then imported into 2011 version of maya i can open the file then save again as .mb file. For my 747 design I done the wheel's and engines also the fan blades in the engine, Then I ask neil how can i smooth the object that made with low polygon, Neil told me that if I want to smooth a object select smooth from menu I can adjust the selected faces to smooth otherwise it need to done manually by moving each line and adding edge loop tool.
                                                               After finishing my 747 design I try to make one animation , gun and bullet. A bullet moving from gun trying to experiment with animation, I would like to animate my camera but at the moment i want only to animate on my bullet.

747 Design

 Today we started with 747 aircraft modeling. At first Neil showed us how to start adding the blue prints of 747 ( the blue prints we downloaded from google for image plane) in to maya interface.The blue prints we downloaded is one image so we have to cut it into 3 part's front , top, and side. for cutting we used photoshop, then neil showed us how to use image plane to create models from reference, For image planes in maya its easy to add top, front, and side views then start to make model from that but neil showed us polygon plane, For me its not that easy, For this we have to get the measurements of the polygon same as the image, Then need to create new layer
                     Its the first time I using a layer option in maya, The new layer that contain the polygon images need to lock because this 747 flight polygon plane is a cube, we creating the model in side that cube, also I understand the reference image/ blue print is not that correct so when i start to model I have to make sure everything is same as possible, This model  should made as single object, Thats mean I have to use extrude and vertex tool so much but for the wheel I going to create cylinder polygon

UNDERSTANDING THE MEDIA

Today we start to use animation in maya. The main subject was today is animation, Neil showed us how to use easy method of animation in maya,This was the first starting lesson on this subject. Today the first thing we did was texturing the room model from the last week until the brake time, Then we start to animate some basic movement on maya and try to save as video file.
                                      
                                         After the basic's of animation we start to animate a ball falling through some steps.In this section neil showed us animation graph editing it was little hard to understand at first but I actually didn't use that method to animate, I used basic animation today,after noon we did animate tennis game. I try to make this animation good as possible to get more understanding on the subject.



  After todays lesson I did understand the basic animation moves in maya but animation is much more. from todays lesson i think i need to practice with graph editing in maya neil saying that graph editing can make basic animation much more fast so i will try that in my home time
